Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account or using FestOrbit, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from them, including the Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Festival Subscription Agreement (where applicable), Festival Verification Policy, Data Sources, Rights & Security Policy, and External Link & Acceptable Use Policy. Account holders must be at least 18, or use the service through a legally authorised parent, guardian or organisation representative.
The FestOrbit service
FestOrbit provides festival discovery, eligibility tools, festival-management tools, direct-payment records, judging workflows, talent-search access, advertising inventory and related communications. FestOrbit may improve, replace or discontinue features while protecting already-paid access as reasonably possible.
Direct film-submission payments
Film submission fees are paid directly to the relevant festival through the festival’s verified PayPal.Me account. The festival sets its category and deadline fees and is the seller responsible for receipts, taxes, refunds, chargebacks and delivery of the advertised festival opportunity. FestOrbit does not receive, hold or distribute those submission fees.
Talent Listing Membership
Submitting a film does not require Talent Listing Membership. A public talent or organization portfolio may remain discoverable without membership. A talent or organization pays the separate monthly or annual Talent Listing Membership only to join the direct-contact Talent Search pool and unlock paid profile enhancements such as Additional Links. A working contact number and contact-display consent are required for Talent Search listing participation.
Additional Links (paid enhancement)
Clickable URLs on FestOrbit profiles may appear only through dedicated link fields (official website, social-profile fields, approved project URLs and Additional Links). URLs typed into biographies, descriptions, rules or other prose may be shown as inert text and will not create a public hyperlink. Eligible paid festival subscriptions and Talent Listing Memberships may submit up to ten Additional Links in addition to official website and social fields, subject to validation, safety review and, for festivals, admin approval. Reaching the ten-link maximum is not a policy violation.
External Link Policy and confirmed violations
Users must comply with the External Link & Acceptable Use Policy. Confirmed External Link Policy violations may result in: (1) the offending link being disabled with a warning; (2) a stronger warning on a second confirmed violation; and (3) after three confirmed violations, Additional Links privileges may be disabled and the applicable paid membership may be terminated for repeated policy breach. A third confirmed violation does not by itself hide, delete or permanently ban an otherwise valid festival, talent or organization profile. A permanent account or profile ban may be imposed only by an explicitly authorised Master Admin.
Talent Search contact reveals
Hirer plans provide a limited monthly allowance to reveal approved contact details on individual talent profiles. One reveal may unlock the available phone, email, website and social links for that talent during the current billing period. Reveals are account or team-plan usage, do not roll over, and cannot be transferred.
No contact exports
FestOrbit does not provide talent contact exports, bulk downloads, contact APIs, exported shortlists or downloadable contact directories under Entry, Professional, Agency, Enterprise or any other plan. Subscribers must use revealed information only for legitimate professional project enquiries and must not scrape, resell, publish or misuse it.
Accounts and accurate information
Users must provide truthful, current information, protect login credentials and use only accounts they are authorised to control. False registrations, impersonation, fabricated festivals, fake payment claims, manipulated reviews or misleading profile information are prohibited.
Festival listings and decisions
Festival approval or verification confirms that submitted evidence met FestOrbit’s review requirements at the time of review; it is not a guarantee of artistic selection, commercial success, award value, event performance or future conduct. Festivals control judging and selection decisions subject to their published rules and FestOrbit policies. Directory-sourced profiles are described further in the Data Sources, Rights & Security Policy.
Content and intellectual property
Users retain ownership of their films, artwork, logos and profile content. They grant FestOrbit a limited licence to host, display, resize and transmit submitted content only as needed to operate and promote the marketplace. Users must have the rights and permissions needed for everything they upload. Public availability of information does not by itself mean it is free to copy or reuse without rights.
Prohibited conduct
Users may not upload unlawful, infringing, deceptive, hateful or malicious content; scrape or reverse engineer protected areas; interfere with security; misuse personal data; send spam through FestOrbit; publish unsafe or prohibited external destinations through dedicated link fields; or use the platform for fraudulent payment, award or advertising schemes.
Suspension and termination
FestOrbit may restrict, suspend or remove accounts, festivals, advertisements, Additional Links privileges or content for non-payment, policy breaches, unresolved complaints, security risks, legal requirements or false information. Where practical, the user will receive a reason and an opportunity to respond. Permanent bans require Master Admin authorisation and are not an automatic consequence of the three-confirmed-violation Additional Links path alone.
Disclaimers and liability
FestOrbit is provided on an as-available basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, FestOrbit is not liable for festival decisions, direct payments made to festivals, third-party gateways, streaming interruptions, lost opportunities or indirect and consequential losses. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply. Questions or notices may be sent to .
