Purpose of this policy
This policy explains how FestOrbit may obtain and use information for directory profiles, verification and marketplace operations, and how subjects can claim, correct or challenge listings. It should be read with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Festival Verification Policy.
Information FestOrbit may use
FestOrbit may use information submitted by users and profile owners, information available from publicly accessible professional, festival, organization, official-website, social and other public web sources, and other lawful sources, where that use is reasonably needed to create, verify, update or display a FestOrbit listing.
Public availability and rights
FestOrbit does not assume that public availability removes copyright, trademark, privacy, contractual or other rights. Public information is used selectively for directory and marketplace functions, subject to applicable rights and FestOrbit correction, restriction and rights-handling processes.
No intentional bypass of access controls
FestOrbit does not intentionally bypass authentication, paywalls, private-account restrictions, access controls or technical restrictions intended to prevent public access. FestOrbit does not intentionally seek passwords, credentials, private messages or unauthorized private-account data.
Directory-sourced profiles
Some FestOrbit profiles are assembled from publicly accessible professional sources and may not have been created by, endorsed by, or represent a commercial relationship with the subject. Ownership state is not displayed on public marketplace cards or profiles.
Profile-owner content authorisation
When a user creates or claims a festival or professional profile, FestOrbit asks that person to confirm that they own, control, or are authorised to use the profile information and materials they retain, edit or upload, and that FestOrbit may display those materials in connection with the profile. The acceptance version, account, profile reference, timestamp, IP address and user agent may be recorded for audit and rights handling.
Private ownership confirmation
Rightful organizers, talent and organizations may privately confirm ownership through a time-limited invitation or, after signing in, through an exact match between their verified FestOrbit account email and a private source-mapped profile email. Private source emails are never displayed publicly. Ownership confirmation does not waive festival verification or paid-feature requirements.
Privacy, restriction and removal
Subjects may use the private, no-index directory request form to request correction, privacy restriction or removal, or contact directory@festorbit.com or . Requests are reviewed against operational, legal, fraud-prevention and rights-handling needs and may be limited where records must be retained.
Copyright, trademark and rights requests
Copyright, trademark and related rights notices may be sent to . FestOrbit may request supporting information and take proportionate action, which may include correction, restriction, removal or temporary withholding of contested content while a request is reviewed.
Limited provenance retention
FestOrbit may retain limited non-public source or provenance evidence for verification, audit, disputes, fraud prevention and rights handling. FestOrbit does not publish internal extraction, parser or security implementation details.
