Verification status
Approved festivals may display “Verified Festival on FestOrbit.” Verification means the evidence supplied met the published review requirements at the time of review; it does not guarantee artistic quality, selection outcomes or future performance.
New festivals
A first-edition festival may be approved as a new organizer after identity, website, dates, team, venue or online process, rules, refund policy and operational plan are reviewed. It cannot claim a verified previous edition.
Physical festivals
Evidence may include venue confirmation, event programme, dated photos or video, published results, jury information and proof of promised awards or benefits.
Online screening festivals
Evidence may include streaming platform details, screening dates, access method, recordings or screenshots, filmmaker permissions, published results and proof of promised awards or benefits.
Online judging and awards festivals
Evidence may include jury and score records, public selections and winners, filmmaker notifications, certificates, laurels, trophies or prizes, and complaint or refund resolution. A public screening is not required unless advertised.
Review timing
FestOrbit will approve, reject or request missing information within seven business days after a complete submission. If additional information is requested, a new review period begins when the missing information is received.
Ongoing monitoring
Verification can be suspended or withdrawn after credible complaints, false evidence, misleading promises, payment issues, non-delivery, copied identities or policy breaches. Aggregate suspension counts may be published without unnecessary personal data.
