Dedicated-link-only rule
Clickable URLs may appear on FestOrbit profiles only through dedicated link fields: official website fields, social-profile fields, approved project or credit URLs, and Additional Links. Narratives such as biographies, festival descriptions, rules, awards text, category descriptions and similar prose are not a link-publishing surface. URLs inside those fields may remain readable as inert text and will not create a public hyperlink.
Additional Links as a paid feature
Eligible paid profiles may publish up to ten Additional Links with a plain-text label and validated URL, in addition to official website and social fields. Reaching the ten-link maximum is not a policy violation. Festival Additional Links require an active paid festival subscription and FestOrbit approval before public display. Talent and organization Additional Links require an applicable active Talent Listing Membership. Lack of paid membership does not hide a basic public talent or organization portfolio; it only withholds the Additional Links enhancement.
Validation and safety review
FestOrbit may validate URL structure, reject unsafe schemes, review destinations before public display and disable or reject links that fail policy checks. Safety scanners, timeouts or temporary destination outages are not themselves confirmed policy violations.
Prohibited destinations
Users must not publish links to malware, phishing or credential-theft destinations, scams or fraud, malicious downloads, illegal content, pornography or explicit sexual-content destinations, nudity-focused adult destinations, deceptive redirects, or destinations designed to bypass FestOrbit link restrictions or security controls.
Artistic and cinema context
Legitimate film, festival or arts destinations are not treated as prohibited merely because they discuss mature subject matter. Context matters. FestOrbit focuses on destination purpose and risk, not on censoring ordinary cinema discourse.
Confirmed violations — three-step wording
A confirmed External Link Policy violation is established by a high-confidence security rule, a trusted reputation or blocklist result, or admin/moderator confirmation. First confirmed violation: the offending link is disabled and the profile owner receives a warning. Second confirmed violation: the offending link is disabled and a stronger warning is issued. Third confirmed violation: Additional Links privileges may be disabled and the applicable paid membership may be terminated for repeated policy breach.
No automatic permanent ban
A third confirmed Additional Links violation does not automatically permanently ban an account or hide/delete an otherwise valid festival, talent or organization profile. A permanent ban may be imposed only by an explicitly authorised Master Admin after review.
Refunds after policy-violation termination
Where an applicable paid membership is terminated after three confirmed External Link Policy violations, fees already paid are normally not eligible for a discretionary refund because termination resulted from repeated policy breach, except where a refund, cancellation right, credit or other remedy is required by applicable law or binding payment-provider rules.
Appeals and false positives
Users may ask FestOrbit to review a rejected or disabled link. Administrators may approve a safe link, reject a link, or correct an incorrect pending finding. Confirmed audit history is retained for operational integrity.
