When I was growing up in Detroit, my mother made the mistake of letting me have a television in his bedroom.

Late night reruns introduced me to Xenomorphs, Zombies, The Parallax Corporation, Earth run by evolved apes, and numerous other fantastical worlds.

Even when those new worlds were terrifying, I found myself captivated and unable to look away.

This fascination developed into a love of story-telling, filmmaking, and also as a way of processing fears and anxieties.

After obtaining a degree from Boston University in Broadcasting & Film, I continued to simultaneously hone my story-telling skills, and work through not only personal trauma, but anxieties about the larger world around me.

For a period of two years, I worked at a (now defunct) metaphysical bookstore, and was able to indulge my insatiable appetite for science-fiction literature, and works about the paranormal, esoteric and bizarre.

Most truly exceptional sci-fi and horror, are well-told stories that also comment on contemporary society – and in my work I like to think I’ve managed to do both.

As much as I love exploring those subjects, my ultimate goal is to re-create the viewing experiences I had as child, by creating ‘desert island’ television shows and features: fantastical worlds, and elaborate mystery boxes, that invite the viewer to watch, and re-watch – yet derive something new from the experience every time.
