About Plum! International Animation Festival

Physical film festival with submission categories including International Animated Short Film Competition and Latin American Animated Short Film Competition.

"PLUM!" is an animation festival that celebrates the art of animation in all its forms. It showcases work from both local and international artists, giving the people of Tafí del Valle access to productions they might not otherwise encounter, while also promoting cultural tourism in the region.

The festival aims to be a vibrant platform for the exhibition and exchange of animated content—from short films to feature-length works, from traditional techniques to cutting-edge digital animation. "PLUM!" fosters creativity, dialogue, and collaboration between artists and the broader community.

  1. SUBMISSION FEES a) Animated Short Film Competitions Fees vary according to submission deadlines and the country of origin of the work

  2. GENERAL CONDITIONS PLUM! 2026 opens its call for animated audiovisual works and animated screenplays in the competition categories established in these rules.

  3. 1 Participation is open to individuals or legal entities, of any nationality, individually or collectively, over 18 years of age, through the submission of animated audiovisual works or animated screenplays that meet the requirements set forth in these regulations.

  4. 2 Participation in the Festival is subject to the submission fees detailed in section

  8. 1 APPLICATION DATES Applications will be accepted according to the following schedule: Animated Screenplay Competition (Completed Scripts): from February 15th, 2026 to September 15th, 2026. Animated Short Films and Music Videos: from May 15th, 2026 to October 15th, 2026. The Festival reserves the right to announce the results of the Animated Screenplay Competition prior to the audiovisual Official Selection.

Animation Screenplay Competition (Completed Scripts)

This category is open to completed animation screenplays from all over the world. PLUM! welcomes original or adapted scripts conceived specifically for animation, in any format or genre (short film, feature film, series, experimental or hybrid projects), and using any animation technique. Submitted screenplays must be fully written and completed at the time of submission. Projects may be unproduced or in development, but must not have been previously produced, released, or publicly exhibited in any format. The competition aims to highlight strong storytelling, originality, and the creative use of animation as a narrative language, regardless of budget or production stage. Selected scripts will be evaluated by a professional jury, and the winning project will receive the PLUM! Award for Best Animated Screenplay (Completed Script).
