Festival Objectives The Malacate Film Festival Corrales is an international film festival that aims to promote and disseminate high-quality cinematic works, as well as support emerging and established filmmakers in the fields of feature films, short films, documentaries, and animation. The festival will be held in person at the Teatro Cinema Corrales (Aljaraque, Huelva, Spain).

Any audiovisual work that meets the duration established in these rules will be considered a fiction short film, open to any theme, genre, and narrative style. The works must constitute a self-contained and independent piece, with special emphasis placed on artistic, narrative, acting, and technical quality. The selected short films will be eligible for all the awards corresponding to the short film section as outlined in these rules. They may also be eligible for the special award for Best Music and the regional awards (Best Andalusian Production and Best Production from Huelva), provided they meet the regional requirements.

Selected documentaries will be eligible for the special Best Documentary award. They may also be eligible for the special Best Music award and the regional awards (Best Andalusian Production and Best Production from Huelva), provided they meet the regional requirements.
