Festival overview

About Frame-se Resende, Festival de cinema de bolso

Physical film festival in Rio de janeiro, Brazil with submission categories including Shortfilms and Feature Films.

Resende is a national pocket film festival focused on boosting, broadcasting, and awarding audiovisual productions created exclusively through mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets. Aligned with its role of social impact, the festival actively drives audience development by engaging the region's school ecosystem (both public and private networks).

This synergy opens space for the Student Parallel Showcase, an exclusive window that offers students the unique opportunity to experience hands-on production and exhibit their original creations within the official programming of a major film festival. FRAME-SE Resende is a national pocket film festival dedicated to fostering and rewarding the creativity of filmmakers from all across Brazil through films shot on mobile phones.

It is mobile technology at the service of the power of independent cinema. Director General's Statement"The smartphone that isolates today will be the lens that connects the filmmaker to recognition and the celebration of their art on the big screen tomorrow." The central focus and raison d'être of FRAME-SE Resende is to reward independent creative excellence and encourage those who produce cinema using the technology they carry in their own pockets.

Our great cherry on top is utilizing this driving force to invite schools—regardless of whether they are public or private—and fulfill the indispensable role of audience development. Through a Student Parallel Showcase, we give students the chance to get hands-on and see their creations included in the rigor of a true film festival, while maintaining absolute neutrality and focusing entirely on the transformative power of art. — Edgar Ziler Freitas, Director General
