About Festival Travelling

Physical film festival with submission categories including Competition of international short films for children audience Junior and Fench-language or production short film Competition "Tout Court!".

Clair Obscur's appetite for discovery and sharing, known primarily for its Travelling film festival, has been matched by a desire to teach audiences to develop their critical faculties and (re)discover what lies behind the film, using a range of tools: setting up workshops to critique and analyze images and videos, meetings with professionals and specialists, etc., and taking the lead in national and regional programs.

Clair Obscur has responded to calls for tenders from the Brittany Region and the Ille-et-Vilaine Department, to play a part in these issues of political education in a society where the image is taking on an ever-increasing role.

Competition of international short films for children audience Junior

The Clair Obscur association places programming for young audiences at the heart of its Travelling festival, echoing its programming, image education and cultural activities. The ‘Junior’ section offers the opportunity to discover the diversity of cinema, past and present, through quality films of all genres, lengths and countries; to develop the imagination, nourish the curiosity of children and teenagers and awaken their critical sense in the face of images, with films to be seen before “growing up”. Without any particular thematic focus, The shown movies must be adapted to children: from 3/4 years old for the first selection, Junior +4) and from 7/8 years old for the second one (Junior 7/8+)

The ‘Junior’ section offers the opportunity to discover the diversity of cinema, past and present, through quality films of all genres, lengths and countries; to develop the imagination, nourish the curiosity of children and teenagers and awaken their critical sense in the face of images, with films to be seen before “growing up”. The 'Tout Court! short film competitions showcase the richness, vitality and diversity of recent creation of french langage or french co-production! Without any particular thematic focus, The shown movies must be adapted to teenagers from 13 years old
