Physical film festival in and creativity within the LGBTQ+ community, Spain with submission categories including Única - Cortometraje.
Festival is a cultural and social initiative that seeks to raise visibility and celebrate sexual and gender diversity through the narrative power of cinema. Held annually in Alzira, the festival provides a platform for both emerging and established filmmakers and producers, from Spain and around the world, who explore LGBT+ themes, promoting dialogue, empathy, and understanding in society.
Our goal is to create a safe and enriching space where LGBT+ stories can be told, recognized, and appreciated, contributing to the fight against discrimination and to the building of a more inclusive society.

General Rules+
Name and Theme The event is called the THIRD MIRA FESTIVAL and its theme revolves around LGBTQ+ diversity.
Registration opens: April 10, 2026
Registration closes: September 30, 2026
Festival date and screening of selected short films: November 28, 2026
Anyone over 18 years of age, of any nationality, may participate.
No distinction is made between amateur and professional participants.
Short films must include Spanish subtitles if they are in another language.
Minimum duration: 5 minutes. Maximum duration: 15 minutes.
Any language is acceptable, provided that Spanish subtitles are included.
The film must have been produced within the last 5 years.
All submission formats are accepted (digital file, viewing link, etc.).
Short films that have already participated in other festivals are accepted.
Music videos or other works that are not considered short films will not be accepted, with the exception of musicals.
There is no distinction by category (documentary, fiction, animation, etc.).
The first and second best short films will be awarded prizes. These will be determined by a vote of the audience attending the event.
The jury will especially value narrative and editing.
