16th Bangalore Shorts Film Festival-27 (BSFF-27) is more than a film festival—it's a celebration of cinematic voices, creativity, and independent storytelling. Since its inception in 2012, BSFF has been dedicated to discovering, recognizing, and promoting the work of emerging as well as established filmmakers from India and around the world.
The festival was founded to commemorate the 100 years of Indian cinema and to pay tribute to the invaluable contribution of the Kannada film industry to the growth of Indian cinema. Over the years, BSFF has evolved into a vibrant platform where filmmakers showcase their work, connect with industry professionals, and explore opportunities for collaboration, distribution, and career growth.
Our mission is to nurture a strong short film culture by encouraging new talent, creating sustainable revenue opportunities for independent filmmakers, and helping transform short filmmaking into a commercially viable creative industry. The previous editions, BSFF-12 to BSFF-26, witnessed outstanding participation from filmmakers representing diverse cultures and countries, establishing the festival as one of India's leading destinations for short cinema.
BSFF-27 promises to be our most ambitious edition yet.
